The Tubsider site is a product site hosted
by the manufacturer, SidneyG, LLC.
The Tubsider is an orthopedically designed
seat to be used for sitting next to the side of the
bathtub. Purposed to be used while bathing young children,
the elderly, or pets, as well as while cleaning the
bathtub, the Tubsider is a padded, comfortably seat
that eliminates the pain and strain that often accompanies
these activities.
SidneyG, LLC wished to make the Tubsider
available to a larger market by having the ability to
purchase the product online. Their desire for the site
design was that it incorporated the soap bubbles used
on all Tubsider packaging and literature, as well as
consist of mainly bright, primary colors.
One of Cast Shadow's designers worked
with their marketing director, as well as designers
from their advertising firm, to develop the initial
design for the web.
After gaining client approval for the
design, it was necessary to coordinate with the web
development company to draw up a site plan customized
to link the site into Tubsider's online storefront.
(The decision was made to use the storefront only for
the ordering capabilities, as the storefront was not
customizable to make it conform to the design used on
all other pages of the website.)
After the site was programmed and uploaded
to the Internet, due to internal decisions, the client
had the site modified to remove the online ordering
section temporarily. Other changes, such as price, have
been updated to the site as requested by the client.
In order to incorporate two other
product lines manufactured by the client, this site
has been re-designed by the client's current advertising
agency. Therefore, the online version now varies from
this original design. |
